Highly Fluorinated water may be dangerous to your health. Drinking water with fluoride levels above 2 mg/L can lead to mottling of the teeth. Ongoing levels above 4 mg/L can result in serious health problems.

Although the main purpose of this filter is to remove fluoride, Activated Alumina can remove many other contaminants.

Operating Conditions:

For maximum effectiveness, do not exceed the recommended flow rate of .25 GPM. This filter lasts for 11,000 mg/l (ppm) with effluent levels below 0.2 ppm from 10 ppm feed (approximately 2750 gallons). Note: high pH and high bicarbonate levels reduce the capacity - above 100 ppm bicarbonate, reduce by 50%; above 200 ppm, reduce by 75%.

Interfering ions and the recommended flow rates must be specifically accounted for when sizing these cartridges.
